Move Planner and Movers Pro vs MoveMan, SmartMoving and Move Agent
Compare moving-app audiences, published pricing and features, including our private preview, its customer-led workflow and current limits.
In this guide
Choosing moving software starts with who will use it. A household comparing removal quotes needs a different workflow from a firm managing crews, storage and accounts. Here we compare our Move Planner and Movers Pro preview with MoveMan, SmartMoving and Move Agent using vendor information checked on 1 October 2026.
We own Compare House Movers and developed the apps described here. This is a disclosed product comparison, not an independent test of every competitor. Our apps remain password-protected previews; competitor descriptions below are based on their official pages, not hands-on testing.
What our apps are designed to do
Move Planner gives a household a structured inventory and a move record for sharing with selected firms in its workflow. Quotes can start from the same customer brief, helping the customer examine scope as well as price. Inventory versions, changes the customer accepted, messages, signed records and claim-offer history keep important decisions visible.
Movers Pro connects the firm’s enquiry, survey, draft quote, acceptance, schedule and moving-day records. It also includes time records, invoices, payment records, costs and basic analytics. The office reviews rate-card draft quotes; the app does not turn them into guaranteed prices.
The benefit is the connection between the household brief and the firm’s work. It is not a claim that inventories, portals or electronic signatures are unique to us.
What the other products advertise
MoveMan offers a modular removals system. Connect advertises customer quote acceptance, a portal and self-surveys; Job supports crew job sheets, signatures and working-time records. Ask the vendor which modules and costs fit your operation.
SmartMoving advertises estimating, dispatch, a crew app, storage, reporting and integrations. Its reviewed pricing page also describes customer document access and deposit payment. That is a broader mature operations offering than our present preview.
Move Agent advertises a UK removals workflow covering surveys, inventory, quoting, planning, invoicing, storage and integrations. It includes AI-assisted survey tools that should not be treated as features we have already matched.
Compare cost on the same basis
| Product | Price position checked 1 October 2026 | What to check |
|---|---|---|
| Move Planner / Movers Pro | Contact us for pricing and availability | Customer access terms, business fees, launch status and support |
| MoveMan | Numerical subscription price not confirmed from the reviewed official pages | Modules, users, onboarding and ongoing charges |
| SmartMoving | No numerical subscription price displayed on the reviewed pricing page | Current quote, users, integrations and payment costs |
| Move Agent | Full platform from £249 plus VAT per month, up to six team members | Required scope and provider fees |
Move Agent’s published starting subscription represents £2,988 per year before VAT. That arithmetic is not a claim that our business app saves that amount. Contact us for pricing and availability so you can compare a proposal for your team, support needs and required workflow. Do not compare a household planning tool with a full operations subscription as though they were identical purchases.
Where our approach may fit
Households may value one brief they control, a structured quote comparison and visible agreement changes. Small firms may value a workflow that starts with that brief and keeps office and customer decisions connected. Both apps are in private preview and not yet open to the public; contact us for pricing and availability.
If you require card collection, accounting sync, SMS, GPS, routing or warehouse management, our current preview does not provide those functions. Established products advertise capabilities in several of these areas. Customer requirements should decide the choice, not an unsupported “best app” label.
Questions to ask before committing
Request a demonstration using a real type of job: survey, quote, acceptance, change, crew handover, invoice and credit. Check permissions, exports, support, data terms and total cost. Ask what is live, what needs another subscription and what is on a roadmap.
Our quote-comparison guide helps households; the Movers Pro workflow guide helps firms assess our current scope. Contact our team for pricing and availability and recheck vendor prices and features before making a decision, because both can change.
